TRINITY’S TESTIMONY
God does everything for a reason. 12 years ago, the Lord allowed us to be the guardians and protectors of one of his miracles. Her Name would be Trinity and that is because The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost saved her even before her life began. Even the fact of my wife being pregnant was a miracle, because we had been trying for so long. But early in the pregnancy, we began to have problems. My wife’s blood pressure wouldn’t not go down and then the unthinkable happened. We went for our first ultrasound and everyone was quiet, then they wouldn’t let us go home, we were sent directly back to the OBGYN. He sat us down and began to explain to us that they couldn’t determine if the baby was a boy or girl and then the next words out of the doctor’s mouth pierced our very soul. He told us after thoroughly examining the ultrasound, that it was discovered the baby had little to no embryonic fluid ( I wasn’t sure exactly what that meant but I knew it called for a talk with my father). At this moment, the doctor said this means one of two things: 1. There is a 90% chance that your baby will be still born 2. If by some chance the baby does survive, it will 100% be a special needs child. After delivering this catastrophic news, he then asked us to go home and think about what we wanted to do. So we then asked what do you mean and his reply was even more devastating than the previous news. He said do wish to continue the pregnancy and let the baby be still born or drive to Atlanta and have an abortion. In sync, we both said we are having our baby, and we then put it in God’s hands. Before they sent us home, they made an emergency appointment with a specialist in Jackson, MS. We got a call that told us to be in Jackson the next day, the enemy tried to stop us by having our vehicle not to crank and no one could loan us a car in such short notice (BUT GOD). A good friend of mine loaned me his car with no questions, but the enemy was still after our baby. It began to storm so bad that I just could see the hood of the vehicle. I told my wife and my mother in law to just relax and I’m going to let God be the pilot not copilot. By the grace of God we made it to the appointment on time. Now it’s time to see the specialist, he wanted to see for himself so he put my wife on the ultrasound table and got every picture imaginable. We he finished we did find out that the baby was a little girl, but that good news was short lived, because he confirmed what our doctor had already told us. But there was one thing he asked us that no other doctor, nurse or anyone had asked, and that was DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD!!!!!! Now he had our undivided attention. He looked my wife in the eyes and said go home and drink water like your baby’s life depended on it and let God do the rest. My wife began to drink water for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and God spoke to me and the oil, so I began to rub her stomach every night with anointed oil. At 26 weeks, my wife was at home with her mom and as she was going to the restroom, she felt a blood clot the size of a liver. I was at work, So as not to startle her mom, she put a towel between her legs and said she was bleeding. They called me and rushed her to the hospital where she was put on bed rest for two weeks. They did an ultrasound every other day and then at 28 weeks the doctor came in and said we have to take her now. So they prepared her for an emergency C-section and then it was straight to the Nicu because she had been in the position with her legs folded up to her head. She went back to that position when they pulled her out. Despite the enemy trying to kill her before her birth, Trinity enters this world at 3lb 12oz. After a 2 month stay in the Nicu, we went home, and at the age of 2 the enemy was mad that his first attempt failed, he tried again with febrile seizures. The seizures last until age 7 and then God delivered her and she has been seizure free ever since. Meet Trinity, now age 12: Queen of Rowan Elementary, Science Club President, BETA club President Soloist and she doesn’t not look like what she’s been through, because God makes no mistakes.
